If you haven't practiced well enough then you may be able to muddle through while playing solo but you won't be able to keep a steady beat while playing with another person. This is a necessary skill if one ever wants to play professionally or in a band. Barry has a very unique personality but is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and I certainly recommend taking lessons with him.”

“FANTASTIC!! It's difficult to put a review into words as Mr. Lusted has turned my interest in playing (a hobby of sorts) into refined art with masterful skill. He is by far the most passionate and knowledgeable teacher with whom I've ever studied. He sequences all of the material very well and his pedagogy is very similar to other top-notch teachers I've taken lessons from for other instruments. I've taken with him for quite some time, and each lesson just gets better than the last. He sometimes plays along with you, which allows a stricter tempo as I'm learning a new piece. This also allows me to hear a superior interpretation of how the music should sound and some suggestions for artistic decisions. He also teaches how to READ MUSIC and learn all of the musical notes and symbols so that I learn my music faster and well-informed, allowing me to see the music for the first time with a critical ear and eye.
